This is a personal creative non-fiction journal about a traveller and his evolving life. He saw the waning warmth of humans through his puppy's eyes and now he see the world through his child's eyes. He thought much of our country's warmth went dormant when Bush held our country hostage! I always encourage well written comments that don't get too personal and have cuss words.
Here is your comment and I have separated it into different parts so that I may respond more effectively to your thoughtful comment.

Why do you always refer to Republicans (or as you say "Re puke licans") as mind numbed, ignorant, simple minded people? There are over 300,000,000 people in the great U.S of A. Why don't you criticize Jeff Foxworthy for him making fun of "red necks"? Or is it ok because he uses a southern accent and acts like he is one himself? It is the thoughtless judgmental behavior that I have a right to write about and you have a right to respond without violence and hopefully avoiding the ignorant comments that some of the other "Bubbas" have made.
There are many conservative Republicans that are intelligent and some that are not clouded by their very fundamentalist thinking. I admire Pat Buchanan for not being a Stepford robot and writing a book about the "Neo Conservative" called "Where the right went wrong!"
He does not sound like Rush Limbaugh and the others that want to bash liberals and say mindless comments like they are friends with Hillary and Ted Kennedy!
I feel that we are bombarded with right wing media and there is hardly any alternative to listen to on the radio except for NPR which gives fact rather the administrations sound board, "Fox News". I am glad that Pat Robertson who is an ardent fundamentalist disagreed with Bush's very impulsive move into Iraq. Up to the point of disagreeing with Bush, he was on the Bush side. I admire folks that really look for facts on the net or library, and make it a point to make their own decisions instead of Rush, Bush, Fox propaganda, or the "Daily Disappointment" making it for them.

I thought, Niles, that you told me that you do not hang out or know the folks at Hudstone's??
I appreciate that they are professionals. It is only the folks that chose to become angry, violent and thoughtless that I address. When some people drink a lot, some people become loud and violent.

I am in my element. I have lived among rednecks with them being my neighbors or the folks that I meet on the streets. I have a right to complain about voluntary ignorance. Renecks are not a minority. They are a majority in Oklahoma and many are intimidated by them for the past 100 years of redneck intimidation of minorities. Is it an unwritten rule for comedians not to make fun of what they are not???
Rednecks, corporate rich Americans, and fundamentalists make fun of liberals. They are much more of a minority.
It is very scary what is happening to this country.
We are heading for a corporate dynasty and corporate empire for the rich to have tax cuts to help them get richer.
The poor will be working for lower and lower wages compared to the wealty. Karl Rove ran an excellent strategy for this campaign. As long as this is a free country, while our liberties are gradually eroded, I will continue to write. You do not have to read this, Nile, but I appreciate your interest in this site. I hope that you are happy with what is happening to this country.

I only chat with people that are willing to discuss it.
I will talk at a location where it is safer from violent rednecks or those that want to be heard instead of wanting to listen. There are many places that are havens for intellectuals and free speech. I will look for those places. In the meantime, I am a homeowner and I do have a right to exercise my rights to bitch about injustice.

I dont hate all Okies. I realize that many are just misinformed or closeminded. There are a lot that are good people. I have made many friends, but it is sad that one of the poorest states will continue to make the schism between the rich and poor greater. YOu will let yourself be screwed to your job like an indentured servant or "slaves" were to the general store of the farm that they were "working" for.

I will look eventually for another place to live. In the meantime, I will keep my home that I have had for over 20 years. This is my one refuge when all else fails in this declining empire.
Bush is not the president. He is the corportation run by Karl Rove. The administration with Fox News as it's mouth piece will become ever stronger and repeat what happened to Rome with one emperor (corporate president);

Apparently, you know who I am in person from others at Hudsons. You originally had told me that you did not go Hudsons or know the folks there. You were doing a search and found my website. I will not go to a place where there are not violent threat towards me. Some of you want to silence me, but this website is showing free speech and that is the beautiful thing about this country (unless that freedom is taken away like Rove intimidates the press and tells all the white house staff to wear hunting jackets to make fun of Kerry)
They are not liberals! How dare them make fun of something that they are not! (I waS just mirroring your own behavior)
